Based on the Song of Songs written by King Solomon, In the Garden of the King is a lovely musical journey through the heart.  This is a beautiful collection of many of Shoshanna Harrari’s early original melodies along with some treasured songs by friends and teachers. 

 

The CD opens with a recording of the sound of the harp played solely by the wind at midnight in the Old City of Jerusalem as David’s harp did long ago. 

 

The music is played on several of the instruments of the Temple orchestra (shofar, trumpet, Nevel, Kinnor, and cymbals) accompanied by the ancient rhythm of the drumbeat and heart-lifting flute.  

 

Mostly instrumental, there are also four songs sung by Shoshanna.
